I saw your post in the DVD section yesterday. I really don't know what to suggest other than to check the settings in AnyDVD and be sure you are in the correct region. It is possible, I suppose that one of the updates changed that setting. I was hoping that Carolina Mike would get on this one. He usually has the answer for these obscure issues.

There is one other possibility which we have not considered which is that your burner is simply not working. They do have a relatively limited life and when they begin to fail the symptoms are not aways consistent. I would consider that possibility.

Wow I have not used or updated any dvd in over a year. Their forums use to be good at trouble shooting problems. Of course they will need more information. Like the movie title, is it an original, have you replaced burners and of course your operating system. There are tools in anydvd for sending or posting your log files to their site. I would look into that option also.

Exit out of AnyDVD completely.  Now go into device manager and see what the region code is for that DVD Burner.  Most of the burners will automatically correct but there are a few like a MatSHITa that will not correct the RPC so to get around that use an external burner  Those crappy drives are usually in Laptops
If the drive is device manager is set correctly to your region then it is usually a bad copy or a bad drive.

turn AnyDVD back on
right click the the fox head
go to "rip video to Harddisk
Click on that and tell AnyDVD where you want the files saved
then click Copy Disk

I will not answer a PM if I think the question should have been asked on the forum.

I am just wondering if the disk you are trying to copy is a different region. I have seen disks from Hong Kong and China that could not be read on a Region 1 drive. Do you know where the disks were made.

Try turning off any DVD then try to rip to the hard drive. In other words try clone with any dvd off. Some discs that are not main stream produced and have strange navigation menus with multible angles sometimes causes reading problems when any DVD is on. The dvd may not even be encrypted.

Is the movie Everybody's Fine? If it is, the problem is not uncommon. I ran that EVF-On-NW1.1 on Bing and got a link to the Fabdecrypter forum where someone was describing something quite similar to what you are experiencing. No solution found.

To take everyone out of their misery utcheerdad do this:

Go to the AnyDVD forum  https://forum.slysoft.com/forumdisplay.php?18-AnyDVD

Post an AnyDVD log file. Many times the answer to your question is visible to experienced users or SlySoft support or a developer right away.

Ensure Anydvd is running.

Personal note;   Personally I think the DVD is a bad pressing and yes you can go through multiple copies until you find one that can be read.  You can also view them on the computer with no problem but you can not copy it

If you have not registered at the Slysoft site I suggest you do as you have to do this to post.

Explain that you have tried to copy the DVD using AnyDVD and clone and it is no go as this is your 3rd original copy.
Once you have explained your problem and posted the log file the members should not have a problem helping ( some of the members can be a ass )  I am a member there but I do not go by CM there.

This info from the AnyDVD site:
1  Put the problematic original disc in your optical drive/reader.
2  Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
   3. Right click the red fox icon on your system tray (to the lower right).
   4. Select "Create Logfile"
   5. Wait for Anydvd to create a log file. In some circumstances this might take 5 minutes or longer.
   6. A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile "Anydvd_Info_<xxxxxxx>.zip" (or something similar)
   7. Click "ok". A Windows Explorer will open. You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.ziplog"
   8. Look for the icon that looks like a paper clip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread). If you don't see that paper clip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon   now. Click the paper clip.
   9. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
10.Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .ziplog file you created.click "upload"
Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .ziplog file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

You could also do the same thing here and I'll look at the files here but I'll bet it is a bad disk.  If you upload to Anydvd forum James (the developer) will probably tell you the same thing but we need to put this problem to bed so upload the file
