Windows 10 Bloatware Cleanup
« on: October 16, 2016, 07:20:10 AM »
To me Windows 10 has becime or is like getting a version of android from your cellphone provider. It is loaded with much more junk than you will ever need. All geared to put money in the pockets of the makers of your computer. I have provided a link to an article on the subject and a direct link to the Microsoft page for the tool.

You must forgive them. So many people did not slay the bogey man living under their bed as a child. Thus they feel him everywhere, hence the need to always carry a gun. Living in fear of the bogey man is a heavy burden for people to carry. So sad.

I've been reading up on this bloatware and there may be an easier way than to virtually re-install windows, I'll let you know.

OK, I found this app that will uninstall any of the apps that come with Win10 and also reinstall them if you want later on. Here's the link

Well that seems like a very good app. I will take a look at it. Although I have already uninstall as many apps as I could using the usual uninstall. Thanks

This all makes me very glad I haven't even booted my Windose computer in the last month. The thought of having to reinstall apps, some of which like AnyDVD are no longer available gives me pause. What really troubles me in the first one the you, BBELL, posted is that Microsoft is telling you that if you use their app you could lose your registration. What the hell is wrong with those people? They can't make a simple app to remove their crap from their operating system? I am so glad I have a Mac for my serious computing needs.

The result will be an exact reversal of the conditions existing before The Civil Rights Act. And the hardest hit will be the children in whose name the left always claims to act. Well done Obama". - Pendark

That program I found to remove the apps completely does just that, no need to reinstall Windows. I removed about 8 of them but there are still a few on there that I may use so I left them on there. Like I said before with Windows 8, 10 is just the same or worse by MS making the computer look like a damn iPhone screen.
