Downloading & Viruses
« on: March 13, 2005, 11:49:47 AM »
Before you download any program, create a new restore point in XP.  If the download contains any viruses, you will have a point in XP to go back to that is virus free.  If the download does contain a virus and you restore back to the previous point, the virus will be in the restore files.  Run your anti-virus program, it should see the virus in the restore files.  Turn off restore and then turn it back on, the virus is gone.

I've been having some problems with MSN for the past couple of days.  Can you get to Google?

I will not answer a PM if I think the question should have been asked on the forum.
