Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
« on: April 08, 2005, 02:01:06 PM »
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.  I hated the first 20 minutes and fell asleep, so I don't know, or care, if it got any better.

It is definitely one of those movies, right along side of Hellboy as far as the emotion it insights.

So true.  This movie blew.  Much hype but this time, the box office was right on.  It felt like I was watching a 1935 Superman cartoon, only the story was worse.

I debated about buying this after we rented the DVD.  Kids weren't impressed.  I liked it for a unique art piece.  Story line was trite and the acting was fair, but the way the movie was made was quite interesting to me.  I think I liked the special features section more than the movie.

Guitano1, I noted an error in your review of this movie.  You called it "Sky Captain and the World of the Future."  Review back in 2005.  Obviously I should get back to work if I'm looking that far back in your reviews.

I must have reached the point of interpreting rather than copying.
