anyone ever had mouse bad on laptop

 Im going bonkers using an external mouse here on my 2003 laptop. Other than that and half full hard drive(40 G) so far so good
 anyone ever fix their own????

Im talking about the laptop mouse.  You know the  built in touch one???? cause I have tio chase the external one and find a place to put it    :'(

Laptops use USB type mice, that is assuming you are using WinXP or above. If you are using Win98 you may be out of luck since it requires the installation of special USB drivers for any device.

You stated external which means it connects to the usb port.  Now if you are talking about the internal touchpad mouse pad then take it to a Pro repair shop or get a cheap external mouse.  The external mouse will be 1/10th the cost of repairing the touchpad
