Tunnel Rats
« on: August 27, 2009, 04:40:50 PM »
I have seen several Uwe Boll movies. None have been very good, but most are watchable. Tunnel Rats is not. Written and directed by Boll it shows his complete and total ignorance of the Vietnam war and how it was fought. What’s more, he hasn’t the slightest idea of who and what the “tunnel rats” were. Not knowing, he invented his own version rather than do the research.
The film begins with an feeble attempt to create an atmosphere of a advanced base camp for a specialized unit. A new group of replacements are brought in and an enemy sniper is executed by hanging.
You get the picture? This is more than silly and it gets worse and worse with more and more stereotyped characters and scenes that have been stolen from movies dating back to the 1940s.
This one is only for the most desperate seekers. There has got to be something better than this. There are likely few that are worse. The case has a quote from a critic whose name is so small it can't be read. It  says: Impressively Uncompromising. I think you can truly say that Boll didn't compromise. He produced the dumbest war movie ever.

"Race has now replaced rule of law officially. In one speech our president has reversed 60 years of healing the racial divide and destroyed the dream of Dr. King. The result will be an exact reversal of the conditions existing before The Civil Rights Act. And the hardest hit will be the children in whose name the left always claims to act. Well done Obama". - Pendark
