Cd & Dvd Sound
« on: November 30, 2009, 11:22:19 AM »
What would cause a person to get sound from a cd when play in pc and not dvd ?It will play sound from sample dvd in videos ok,but will be no sound when insert a dvd of any kind, such as movie, etc ?
Would that possibly be a codec problem ?Buddy had xp on pc,now is running windows 7 professioinal. If is codec, what would be the right package to download ?

RR,
Does your friend have Nero.  If so that program has all of the necessary codecs. W/ Windows 7 you need at least Nero 8 if I am not incorrect.

Sorry I did not see this post earlier but it does sound like a codec problem.  Not really sure if VLC is completely ready for Windows 7 as I have not installed it on my computer
