I don't know what's going on but if I try to log on to Ebay from this computer, It takes me directly to a page saying there's been a lot of fraudulent activity recently and asks for "ALL" of my info including SSN, Birthdate, Credit card number, Pin number. There's no reason they need all that info. Now I logged on to Ebay with another computer and got right into my account so I'm thinking somehow this computer has some kind of virus, worm, malware or whatever. Anyone else seen have this happen to them yet?

I would suspect that the second computer has cookies which identify you to the site and allows you entry. I will, however, give it a shot and see which version I get when I sign on. (back in a moment) It went directly to the main site. You might want to run some virus/malware software to see if there is a malicious cookie attached to that computer.

I've run 3 different AV's, malware and adware and it found nothing. I did go to the Firefox forums and there does seem to be a problem with the latest FF update that some people are having system crashes as I have had also and have to actually to a hard reboot(nothing works not even CTRL-ALT-DEL works). I did a system restore back to last Friday and so far things seem to be working but I am considering doing a fresh OS install just because it's been 3 years since I built this computer and it's probably full of junk.
So, anyone having any issues with Firefox in the last few days? BTW, I can use IE to get on Ebay with no problems but I hate using IE.

I stopped using FireFox a few months ago. I like Safari, the Apple browser. It is available for Windows as well. Firefox got too buggy. Safari is fast and simple.

I guess I could try Safari. I'm saving all my important info to disc before I reformat the C Drive. Figure after 3 years it's time to start out clean again anyway.

I use Safari on all of my computers. It is a very clean, functional browser.

I'm still using Firefox. I think I'll try Safari on the PC. I've been wondering if Google Chrome is worth trying, do any of you use it?

Google is moving on Microsoft in the realm of controlling the Universe. I find them far too intrusive. I know their software causes major problems with the School Districts software. I think the problem is that they, like Microsoft, are trying to do too many things. I prefer that a browser just be a browser. KISS! (keep it simple stupid!) Safari is simple, straightforward and fast.

I agree with you about Google. I've been using Bing when I think of it, especially when buying online. I've accumulated about $15 in cashback since Christmas.

I had a similar problem a while back with my XP machine. I thought that they had it resolved. It is running fine in 7. Mine didn't lock up. It simply would load. I got some kind of error message. Sorry about that.
