Movie Editing software
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:04:56 PM »
With these newer Anti-virus software updates, I had to delete my software that I use to use to edit my .mpg movies because they conflicted with the AV software. Now I'm in need of new editing software so that I can make snapshots(pictures) from the movies.

Any suggestions?

Hmmm, I have Nero 6 Ultra installed and when I try to install Nero 7 Essentials which includes ShowTime, it wants to erase the Ultra version which I do not want deleted.

Update VLC plays almost any media file.
It also has create snapshot picture of video being played.
I prefer other players for most viewing. This program allows you to drag a folder name to icon and all media in folder will play. For AVI files that have incorrect internal indexes can be discovered and fixed when file is opened to play.

This is a handy free utility.

Jay, if you are talking about your Mac, there are two options, Toast and iMovie. Toast is an excellent software for burning on a Mac.
